Day 30 Golden Shore

Day 30 Gel Print on hot press Fabriano watercolour paper. And so another challenge comes to an end, but the painting will continue on.
I absolutely love this printing process and I will try to incorporate into my larger paintings.
In this print I rolled iridescent gold over top of left over cad. red and other colours and pulled up this wonderful abstract landscape. It glows..........Golden Shore.

Day 29 Blue Perspective

Day 25 Gel Print on hot press Fabriano watercolour paper. The rich warm colours of the background blend nicely with the imprint of the wild flowers. There is a hint of iridescent gold top left.

Day 23 Enchanted Garden 2

Day 23 - Gel Print - acrylics on hot press Fabriano watercolour paper. This mono print is the negative of yesterday's print. The rich dark purple presented a nice clear impression of the flowers. The tissue paper across the lower portion allows the transparent and iridescent colours to show through.

Day 6 - Gel Print - Acrylics on Fabriano watercolour paper. When printing there is always an uncertainty as to how something will turn out. In this case I am pleased with the result of the purple over top of the orange and then green on top of that. September Vine #2

Day 5 September Vine

Day 5 Gel Print - Acrylic paint on Fabriano watercolour paper. This print took on a life of it's own as  the vine appeared in the positive and negative like a woven tapestry. September Vine #1.

Botanical Print #4

Day 4 Gel Print - Acrylic paint on 8 x 10 water colour paper. I used reds and iridescent gold for the base layer and then printed over top with titanium white mixed with teal blue. The impressions of the leaves and stems and the complimentary warm and cool colours have made some great prints.

Day 3 Wild Oats Abstract

Day 3 Gel Print - Acrylics on 8 x 10 watercolour paper. There is a lot of positive and negative imprinting and detail in this print. The deep purple adds depth and shadow and gives an abstract quality. Wild Oats Abstract.

Day1 Botanical Print #1

Day 1 - Gel print 8 x 10  Acrylic paint on watercolour paper. Hi all and welcome to the Challenge.
I am printing with a gel plate and will be presenting a series of botanical prints. I am working with pressed wild flowers and garden flowers. In this print I love the positive and negative effects that can be achieved with the plates.
